Job Opening with the DC Courts

The District of Columbia Courts (the Courts) is seeking an experienced administrator, mission driven manager, and strategically-focused leader to serve as the Clerk of the Court for the Superior Court. The incumbent will have authority to manage and oversee court operations and programs, as assigned by and in collaboration with the Chief Judge and the Executive Officer. These operations include the following divisions and programs: the Civil, Criminal, Family Court, Multi-Door Dispute Resolution, Probate and Special Operations divisions; the Crime Victims Compensation Program; the Domestic Violence Unit; and the Office of the Auditor Master.

The minimum qualifications are graduation from an accredited college or university with a Law degree and a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible administrative and management experience with at least six of those years in positions of substantial management responsibility in a court, legal, or justice-related environment. Must be a current member of the District of Columbia Bar or must become a member within six (6) months of appointment.
